Duo Rhosia – Alina Sorjonen

Alina Sorjonen is a versatile pianist, chamber musician, piano teacher, as well as assistant director of the Helsinki Metropolitan Orchestra, which she founded together with her colleague. She has completed professional studies as a musician and music pedagogue in Finland at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and the Sibelius Academy, at the Graz University of Arts in Austria, and at the Tallinn Music Academy in Estonia. Alina graduated with a master’s degree in music from the Tallinn Academy of Music in 2017, with Sten Lassmann as her teacher. Some other teachers and pianists who have greatly influenced on her have been Valeria Resjan, Ilmo Ranta, Kirill Kozlovski, Carlos and Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris, Adriano Ambrosini, Annamária Bodoky-Krause and Evgeny Gashkov.
In her free time, Alina likes strolling in the nature, cycling and photography. In 2023, Alina has also graduated from Aalto University’s Executive Education training as a customer experience developer and, in addition to teaching, she has an interest in human-oriented work in the corporate world, as well as advancing sustainable development to curb climate change. Alina is inspired by the versatile connection of music to the human mind.
